Default 20k 1.9 CDTI Service – How much?

I booked a service in with my local Vx dealer, and was quoted £150 over the phone..I turn up today and the price has mysteriously gone up to £255!!

Error in communication or whatever, but to my mind £255 is daylight robbery nevertheless and I told them, politely to stick it and just do the handbrake recall

20k includes brake fluid change, oil filter, oil, pollen filter. All of these I can easily do myself but would like to get the booked stamped really (and it is still in warranty!)

What do you guys think I should be paying on a 1.9CDTI at an independent?

problem is if you have FVSH you will get more help from vauxhall if anything else goes wrong just after the warranty expires, also any reworks will get done while the car is in for a service, this wont hapen if you get it serviced elsewhere

WRONG WRONG WRONG, mine is FVSH, it was 3 years old in November, DPF fault in Feb and they didn't want to know, they just weren't interested at all, that was from the VX dealership and VX "customer service"

as far as I'm concerned, thats the end of VX servicing for me, I'll be getting the next one done at an approved garage with VX parts

a lot of it depends on the fault and the dealer, you do have a better chance with FVSH than with non vauxhall history

A 20k service for my CDTi 150 was £180 all in from an indy (using GM parts), including a nice stamp in my book.

Right Right Right When our Zafira GSi was 6 months out of warranty, I got both rear wheel bearings done by Vauxhall as a good will gesture.

I went about it in a nice way, allowed Vauxhall to inspect the car and expressed my concerns that the car was 3 1/2 years old with 33000 miles on and did'nt expect to see wheel bearings whining.

    They agreed and cover it.

My Previous Signum 3.0 V6 CDTi 20k service was £169
Before that, my 06 plate Vectra 1.9 150 service was £140

Fantastic!! We had 2, the first had many niggly issues and Vauxhall exchanged it for a brand new one at no cost to us after 9 months of use.

But ours ran Courtenay stage 3 (260/270bhp). I spend loads modifying it, would I have another? Hell yeah!
