I have recently bought a Signum Elite 1.9CDTi (CD70 with colour Navi display). I have been investigating the installation of bluetooth handsfree. I am still considering retro fitting the Vauxhall kit, however I am starting to feel that it could be more money and work than it is worth. I have my old Nokia CK-7W in a box at home and was thinking I may just install this. Having read through loads of posts I am a little confused as to my options on installation. I would preferably like to install the kit with as little fuss and changes to the car as possible, so was interested in the autoleads cable which seemed to allow connection to a connector behind the glovebox. However I am not sure if this connector exists on the facelift models. Had a very quick look this morning and I couldnt see the connector behind my glovebox, but it was very quick while I was waiting for my wife to get out of the house.
Having looked through previous posts ideally if I did go down the route of installing the Nokia kit I would like it to
Does anyone know if all this is possible on the facelifted model Signum (so I would assume Vectra too). From what I have read it seems it is all definatly possible on the pre-facelifted model. But I am not sure if the Autoleads connectors are good for my model and if so which ones.
- Mute the stereo when a call is made or received
- Display something on the display & Pause Cd, (mute the CC?)when muted
- Use the car speakers to play the call
- Allow volume control using the External in feature of the CD70
- Preferably be an easy install (pre-wired cable connector purchased)
Any help and advice greatfully received.
