    Default ABS Light

The ABS light on my 1800 Club comes on when you start the car and then goes out as it should after the self test, only to come on again and stay on after about 30 seconds to a minute. Has anyone had a similar problem ?

Maybe front wheel sensor wiring plugs, they get water / dirt in and don't function correctly. Worth an unplug, clean and reconnection.

Otherwise it could be a wheel sensor gone south, which would need some diagnostic time to find which one.

Have identified the reason for the ABS light coming on, it was due to the front pads being very worn. Have had the pads and sensor wire replaced and the ABS light is now off all the time.

Pad wear and ABS = not the same thing.....

My guess is that what I said above has been disturbed during the pad changing process and now works..

Hi Mate, Aye sir I know they are different, asked the garage that they unplugged and cleaned the connector as you suggested in your previous post. They said that they didnt and that they just changed the pads and sensor wire, whos knows mate but thanks again for your help.
