    Default bonnet sound profing

    hi all as said before when i bourght the 2.2 vectra in october the bonnet was missing the sound profing. when driving it sounds a little nosy and also when sat idle. ive found someone that will sell me the sound profing for £20 do you think that is a fair price and will the sound profing make much of a diffrence thanks all

    Yes thats a good price! Its over 70+vat at the dealers! Does it make a difference, I dont know, never not had it. There's a heat shield type part too that fits in the middle of it.

    thanks will the heat shield be included with the sound profing normally

    No, its a separate part, it looks like a piece of thick corregated tin foil. Sits in the middle over the sound proofing. Not sure how much that part is. You dont necessarily need it tho.

    I haven't got a heat shield on my 1.8vvti.
    The engine cover only seems to make the car quieter from the outside(ie driving past someone).It doesn't seem to make any difference to the noise thats in the car.
