    Question Portable satellite TV

    Can anyone please help?

I am looking at buying a portable satellite system for use when i go away in the caravan (no caravan jokes please i get enough at work)

Had a look on E Bay and the prices seem to range from 60 quid to 200. Can anyone recommend a good system that

    A, Isn't too expensive

B, Has all the bits included &

    C, Works

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers, Bullylad.

I bought one of those "dongle" things that you stick into the USB port on your lap top, it turns it into a TV with freeview. Very good and tunes in easily. I got mine from PC World for about £60. There are cheaper ones but the one I have is well up the range.

Supplied by a company called HAUPTAGE I think.

A mate has the Maplin one. It works Ok, but he said something about the difference between "free to air" and "free to view" channels. He used it on a narrow boat and found it dead easy to set up each evening when they stopped.

    Thanks for the help.

The Maplin one looks like it has everything included and i think a mate at work gets a bit of discount there too.

    Cheers.
