    Default interior mirror

    My car has an automatic anti dazzle rear view mirror.
    I can see the sensor on the mirror housing but there is a very dim tiny amber light built into the underside of the mirror housing.
    It isn't bright enough to read by so can someone please tell me what it's there for....

    Firstly I've moved your thread from 'Reference Library' to car chat, quite why you thought this should go in the RL I'll never know

    Secondly, it is just an ambient nite light that is used to gently illuminate the controls on the dashboard at night
