There are one or two members that have boxes and remaps on their V6's.One,I believe, is a taxi that has done lots of miles with a remap.I think it's an auto which had the torque limited for it's AF33 gearbox in standard form,so the remap didn't add too much I don't think,so no problems there, except for maybe the gearbox.

I have a tuning box for my pre-facelift V6,it's collecting dust on a shelf in the shed.It was good fun with it on,but it would often throw up codes for boost pressure and suchlike, and go into 'limpmode' at very inappropriate times.

Facelift models (with PDF) don't like either boxes or remaps due to problems with (extremely expensive) HP pump.Pre-facelifts also suffer from this problem and it can happen at any mileage.

The thing to remember about the V6 is that parts are very expensive and many jobs are difficult and time consuming to do,so make sure that you have a decent warranty before doing any tuning.

The other thing to remember is that extra power means extra heat and stress on all components within the engine, you don't get something for nothing!
