    Arrow Lowering?

    Hi all,

I'm a bit of a newbie, so I'm wanting to know - how do I lower my veccy? Do I need to buy anything or can I actually lower it without spending a penny? Please explain in as plain english as possible

    Thanks!

To lower it... you just take your old springs off... new ones one... but you may need to get new shocks, i'm not sure how far the standard shocks will go. I have the SRI/Signum design sports type, these are lowered by 15mm as default, some people go 45mm lower I think, I've gone 25mm on PI springs.

It might be an idea to try LMF and see about some coilover suspension, the full kits less than £300 I think.

You will need springs mate that are shorter but not to much 30mm front and rear max as you have standard longer shocks cost of springs £80 upwards then you need to have the suspension aligned camber etc £80 approx or you will knacker your tyres and if you have standard 16" wheels it will look pants so 17" SRI minimum £350 with tyres, search on here mate loads of threads just thread them together and you will come up with the answers I have given ya as I am looking and have been for weeks to do the same I already have 18" wheels though.

I've got some 17" on mine at the moment, they just look a bit crap with the gap above the tyre to the arches. So It looks like lowering is going to cost quite a bit then? Not sure If I will bother tbh,

Its not an expencive job, if you can do it yourself (its a pretty easy job if you know how)

I might do mine this weekend. Dont think there is a how to on this yet. If not, I'll take some pics and make one up. Hopefully (finger crossed) will be able to get it done by end of the weekend.

Please, that'd be great. Also, include how much it cost etc!

I might just get some bigger wheels. Sell my 17's and get 19's?

id love to buy a set of 19's but a lot more expensive than lowering it.

Also remember that 19's would raise the car up as well, so you'd still need to lower if if you want the effect.

i shall try to get a how to done this weekend, i'll include costs etc.
