Default Belt change at 60000 2.0Dti?

My 2.0Dti needs it's service shortly (62k done). As I have no service history, should I get the belts (and which ones?) changed?

And while I'm at it, should the pipe leading into the airbox be tied to the box are freely moveable in front of the inlet pipe? I noticed it was loose and halfway in front of it.

Could this explain my reduced fuel efficiency?

    Thanks for any help!

Thanks Steve! I've learned something new today! This chain doesn't need changing then?

If you mean the pipe is free to move,ie not fully secured ..then it should be...need to see some piccies for more clarity i fear.

Yes, the 3-4 inch pipe that takes the air from the front into the airbox is not secured and you can move it up and down and look into the airbox. It's a bit dark to get a good picture but I guess I need a cable-tidy to secure it?

As you can see from the images, the pipe leading into the airbox is not secured. Would this explain poorer MPG?

I have now tried to secure it using a cable tie but it is not that tight. I guess I need to use those metal ones?

Ah well, as said, it needs its 60,000 service so let the garage take care of it.

Yep the pipe in question should be airtight, and you need the proper jubileee clip for it.

    Thumbs up

Cheers! I'll probably be cheaper off buying them somewhere else than lett VX charge me for it I guess.

The other side of that pipe connects to the piece of plastic sticking through the grille; should there be a clip on that end as well?

    Thanks again,
    Mark
