    Default Nationwide auto centre

    took my car into nationwide autocentre yesterday as i have an aftermarket warranty because the inner cv joint has failed,i have just phoned them to ask if the engineer has come to look at the car,they say no as they have not even stripped the car yet,they say they cannot tie up a ramp (the workshop on both times i went there was empty) i tell them i need my car back urgently as i have no transport,well the engineer will not come outtill next day so long as they phone before 3pm (why they could not have phoned before i dont know) so now the engineer will not come out till thursday,the letter will not get to the warranty company till friday ,so the earliest the part will turn up is staurday morning,had they have got their ass in gear today the engineer would have been there today (they could have phoned as a driveshaft is an easy job) or at the latest tomorrow,as i only have silver cover on my warranty i cannot get a loan car and nationwide do not do loan cars

    I guess the thread concerning bypassing the swear filter passed you right by!!!

    (As it has with many others)

    well i have had a call saying they have called the warranty company,im hoping the warranty company do get their rear end into gear as as it stands i wont get my car back till saturday at the earliest,maybe monday

    Good Luck with it mate!!


    My warranty company (RAC Gold) took 15 days to authorise an Alternator, they tried to fob me off with "wear and tear" even though the VX dealer told them it was a failure!!

    no,it is a warranty direct warranty,im hoping that they are better than the warranty i had from portsmouth car centre,they took over 6 months to pay after a load of phone calls and them keep changing their minds,the prices had to be altered several times

    i hope they dont do this,as an inner cv joint rarely wears out or even fails they cannot claim it is wear and tear,even for a car that has done 110k miles

    i did not technicaly swear,i typed in what it says now,and there are 2 words that could be spelt to go with the other word,one is a swear word,the other is not

    They told me that they needed to send an independent assessor out to evaluate the car, so I waited two days and no-one turned up. I called them and they then told me that they didn't need to assess it, they told me that because of the age of the car and the mileage 93k that it was wear and tear and wouldn't cover it.

    I ended up paying for the work to be done(£290) as I needed the car back.

    After another week or so of arguing and a letter from the VX dealer they gave in and paid me back, I just hope nothing else fails as I don't want to go through this again!!

    The RAC warranty I have isn't actually RAC it's The Warranty Group, which I didn't find out until after I had bought it, and after searching the internet see nothing but bad press about them!!
