I've just told them to go ahead with:

    Rear Crank oil seal
    Clutch
Front and rear Discs and pads

all for the low low price of £1200

get them to have a very good look at the DMF,it may be worth changing it as if it fails in a few months you will have another big bill

What is the DMF? I heard about it but don't know what it does. Something to do with the exhaust right?

They just called and said that the flywheel is lose and could do with being replaced while the gearbox is off. Thus adding £550 to the total cost bringing it to a wonderful £1750. So much for my savings

Whats the bets tomorrow i need an EGR valve....

I got my baby back! I am so happy I don't even care about the money. Missed her so much I left work as soon as I heard she was ready, didn't get any food but I don't care.

On a slightly less exstatic note the clutch feels nice an tight, I hadn't realised how much it must have been slipping. New brakes feel a bit funny still but they'll take a while to bed in.

And the caterman box I bought on here (thanks Warrenmole) arrived this morning! Can't wait for the weekend!
