Question another wobble ...but strange conditions

    hi guys,
i too have a wobble (visible) on the steering wheel between 60-70 mph recently had new tyres fitted and one seems to have excessive weight on it ....but here is the dilemma the wobble only seems to happen after the vehicle has been stood for a period of time i.e. overnight /at work all day
and after i have breaked steadily and consistantly i.e. coming off of a slip road or down to a stand still the next time i reach the same speed limit the wobble is no longer present??
could it be a caliper sticking and the pad catching on a disc? can't see any abnormal wear on the pads or discs both of which seem to have plenty of meat left on them. and there are no signs of corrosion or scabbing to suggest the cause... should i re balance 1st and then retry?

as i said a little strange but i thought i would farm this one out to the experts within the forum

    looking forward to your responses

    regards
    Dez

If it's just when the car is cold, it could well be the tyres going a strange shape when sitting, and they don't go back to their proper shape until they warm up a bit.

I had that on a pair of Bridgestones - they'd be lumpy as heck for the first mile then they'd be fine.

only problem is its taken over 1 month 1,000 miles for this to become prevalent, so can i go back and ask them to rebalance my wheels or request new tyres as possible defect in casing ??

Did you get both front tyres done? If so go back and tell them at first it was fine and recently youve been getting a wobble and that you think one of there weights has come off Pull theres strings and they will probably re-balance them for nowt if you speak nicely to them

Just gotta have a way with words.
