    Default CD70 fitting help!!!!!!!!

    Right got myself a cd 70 navi. Took my dvd player out to put this unit in. took the front panel off so i could take the screen that was in there out that displays the mgp and range so on...... took that screen out to put the lcd colour unit in and it dont fit not a happy chap.


    Mine car is a prefacelift 05 would that be why? would a grill fascia from a facelift the vents fit or is it a different size??

    Can any 1 give me any assitant would be a great help of not then a cd70 navi will be forsale

    You need the vent surround for that screen mate

    Facelift vents are a different shape on the corners, more rounded. Preface have square edges/corners.

    What screen did you have originally? I had a GID (Orange) and changed it for the CID (Colour) and it fitted perfect. I thought that all centre vent surrounds where the same size, regardless of what screen you had, TID, GID or CID etc.

    well yeah thats what i thought just a straight swap!!from orange to the colour like you have done, tried evey possible angle. was it straight forward for you?? i'm gonna have another look at it today.

    does any1 fancy fitting it?

    Yep, just unscrewed the 4 torx bolts at the back and popped the new CID in hey presto'

    My CID was part number - 13156065 YF - Is yours different?

    i shall have a look in the mornin. i got the display and the navi off ebay all works fine tryied it today.
    tried the the screen and it went in with force but it didnt fit in lne with the torx holes so took it back out.

    is there different size screens or vents??
