Default Colours - scratches & swirls

A colleague at work is looking to get a new motor (it's Swedish) and has asked which of the following colours will show the least swirl marks in future months / years:

    Dark blue pearlescent
    Silver metallic
    Bright red (solid)
    White (solid)

Also, will white fade or discolour in time?

Your pearls of wisdom will be appreciated.

    Silver.

The easier answer is of course to avoid swirks, make sure is is washed properly!

Dark colours show swirls up the most so Blue is out.
Red and white are single stage paints so oxidise and fade or loose their shine

The only option left is silver.

I agree nothing like a clean, waxed black car.
