I Have just got a 54 plate vectra and have been look through the computer and i dont seem to have anything but radio satnav and timer on the computer is this normal or do i need to do something to active the miles per gallon and distance on fuel

yes i have and all i get is a timer option

seems a bit strange that mate must have to enable it with tech2 as said above.i just press BC and i get all the info

All depends on what model Vectra/Signum you've got. The lower down spec models won't have BC as standard, but something like the Design / Sri / Elite will.

Just because the stereo has got a BC button, it doesn't necessarily mean it will work.

That aside, the fuel comp is nothing more than an inaccurate toy anyway.

Sorry, you have a 54 plate (Pre 2005MY) with a CD70 Navi??? I thought CD70 was a facelift only stereo? Prefacelift 2002-2005 half canbus were limited to the NCDC/CDR systems I thought? If its been retro fitted, could this be why you dont have all the functions?

my 55 plate pre-facelift has CD70/full CANBUS. My SXi only had the timer BC option, but I managed to get the trip computer activiated via tech2 at the dealers. Haven't got check control though (missing sensors apparently). Expect to pay anything upto £50ish for the dealer to activiate, or try and blag it for free (like i did!)
