What are the options for bigger turbos on the 1.9CDTI?

Also what else would need replacing/upgrading for a bigger turbo?

probably a bigger intercooler. Bigger turbo = more lag however.

Bigger turbo may mean new manifold and maybe new internals, depending on how far you wanna push power.

Diesel dog is on the money there. Would be easier to do plus the little one keeps the big one spun up, eliminating lag

well is it possible to do?
or maybe put turbo from 3.0v6, would that do any difference (if it can be fitted at all)?

its in the pipe-line maybe a t 24 inplace of the t 17

It's pointless sticking a bigger turbo on if you haven't got the rest of the hardware/software to bring it all together.It's bit like when folk used to think that putting twin Webbers on your Escort 1100 MK1 would make it do 100mph without any other mods.LOL

If you simply put a bigger turbo on without the rework to back it up, you will suffer MAJOR turbo lag, then all of a sudden at 3000rpm, WHOOOSH you're off, pinned to the back of your seat. But it's slow getting there

we have sorted the turbo lag already

and it's going to be the turbo from the v6 cdti
