    Default can i get my boost turned up

    can i just get my boost turned up on my sri 2.0 turbo ?
    or do i have to go for a full £500 remap

    just turning the boost up can cause problems. you need to sort the fueling and ignition aswell. not sure if you can adjust the boost on its own on the veccy cos im pretty sure its set by the ecu. you can get cheaper remaps than the one by bsr(£550), but they may not be as good. try www.mapmyride.co.uk

    The beauty of a remap like BSR's is that the boost setting it is only one of a number of parameters that need to be altered together in order to get the best results and avoid problems further down the line that otherwise could be caused by a remap. In effect the ECU is remapped so it knows what to do to what and when.

    fair enoughhh .. cheers for explaining .. omg youve done a bsr stage 1 (£550) remap and you have got 222bhp :O

    have you done quater mile or 0-60 in it mate what are you acheiving ?

    i know im beign a newbie but what acctually happends do you take your car down to thier office/warehouse/garage andd leave it with them then pay them £550 and you drive out witha lot more bhp and they have done all the work

    or do you buy a kit and do it yourself ?

    if you get the one from bsr then you do it yourself. first you give them some money, then they send tou a box of tricks to plug into your car, then youve got lots more power

    easy to do they estimate power increase of 23bhp but ^^^^ has 50 bhp ?

    they quote 204 bhp. thats an extra 31 over standard but thats the lowest you could expect. every engine reacts differently. plus he may have had other things done(exhaust,filter or airbox mod)
