    Default smoked side reps..........idea

i have a 2.2Dti Signum, it came with clear/white side indicators, my car is black saphire and i want to smoke them to make it look ' smarter '

i understand that no one makes em as yet, tho they do sell on ebay, and the chap has told me they are genuine VX parts as he works there, and he hasnt just ' sprayed ' em , but wont give me the part number....sod lol

the thing is, the only tint i can find is sold by Halfords and costs £14.99, too ****** much just to tint the reps

if anyone is interested we can spread the cost of doin this ?? i could send u mine or visa versa ??

    just an idea,

    BB

i was gonna do the same thing but wouldn't pay £12 to £14 for the spray - we can go halves if you like - how we gonna work it though??

(just another thought though - if you bought the spray you could darken your rear lights too!?!?)

Brake buster, are you coming to east midlands' first meet per chance?
its about 40-50 miles from you i reckon...just thought it'd be the perfect oppurtunity to swop a tin...(of paint not John Smiths Smooth!!)

    great minds and all that

yes you could do the rear lights, i did it to my old m3 astra, however, you need a really clean environment, several coats and lots of time to do it, i was only 75% happy with the results on such a large area and wouldnt do it again, the thing is i have 2 brothers who are pro car painters, and can tint the rears properly with tinted laquer , but again, time n money as the shop manager always wants a kickback

well, we could either post the reps to one another, or send the paint in the post, ( tho not reccomended ), if anyone else jumps in i wouldnt mind painting em if you send a prepaid envelope to send em back in and say £3 a shot for the paint + time ???? so it might cost less than a fiver in total to paint ur reps than having to spend £15 on paint ??

    just an idea , lol

just one thing, i found these things sometimes need glossing up with clear laquer over the tint, just to make em shine more

its rother valley country park (so you can bring the missus & kids if applicable) just off J31 M1 on sunday 31st...

posting the lights with 3 bob and a stamped addressed envelope sounds fine and dandy to me...shall we metaphorically shake on it then? - pm me your address if so!

p.s. your not a proper northerner if you dont drink JS!!!

I would buy a spare set and spray them up. Then people can buy them off you and fit them, then send you back their clear reps for you to spray and do the same with.......

People are not without their side reps then.
