    Default Squeaking drivers seat

My Vectra has developed a squeaking drivers seat. It is just over 1 year old so not covered under warrenty. The dealer i bought it from 5 weeks ago does not want to help. The noise only seems to occur when i accelerate and my body weight moves back. What is the likely cause of the noise and is there a fix? I have searced but not really found anything conclusive.

    Thanks

mine does it and its the foam that creaks - the only fix is a new seat base.

can I ask how heavy you are?

the reason why I ask - if a chap at vx who weighs 5 stone less than you - he may not find the squeek......

and no I'm not being rude......lol

If you get under the seat as best you can with a can of silicon lube and spray everything it goes away for months. I too weigh 15 st, perhaps its trying to tell me something...
