    Default No loan....

Dealer is going to let me try a SRi 3.0CDTi Auto next weekend, had a GSi on loan last year and wasn't impressed with the seats (sore bums after an hour), the Elite should be softer but prefer the looks of the SRi. I had a `B' SRi and loved it.

We are going up to Lowestoft so should be a good test for it.

    Gazza......

Will tell you wot i find when we get back.

If you got sore bums in the GSI then i think the SRI will also not be much use to you as they are the same seats with different trim i would deffo go for the elite if i were you (ive got an elite and sri and much prefer the elite seats to the sri ones )

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

the seats on the SRI are great IMHO, tried both the Elite and the SRI and the SRI for me won (both had heated leather).

The seats on both were fine, the SRI has side bolsters which hug you into the seat, unless you are of the larger frame (and I aint that small...lol) you would be fine, best bet is to try both out.

As you say the SRI looks much better but just think on you can change the front lights and bumper to look like a SRi, its much harder to change the seats

And if you do get the 3.0CDTi make sure you speak with Abyss, got the CRD on mine and never looked back, well I have but only to see the Scooby in my rear view

btw the auto box is a dream, just floor it and go,

I'm in Lowestoft part of tomorrow - I'll look out for you. Look for a focus with a space saver on.

Having had experience of both sorts of seats, I must say I prefer the standard ones. The sports ones give me a pain in my thigh after a couple of hours, but maybe that's just the peculiarities of my anatomy?! I also have a bit of a dodgy back and have had no problems at all with the standard seats, even after being in the saddle all day. Can't say the same about the old model Astra!

I dunno if they are the same seats, but my Mrs has bucket seats that look like the vec SRi ones in her Astra Convertible, I bl**dy hate them, thighs are numb after an hour or so.

But then i am a slightly 'wide load'.

Still maintain that the SRi seats are the best I've sat in. Well OK apart from the old mans Jag, But they're so comfy they're dangerous!!

Think having a flat tyre on one of them is bad. Try changing a headlight bulb!!
