    Default Claying

Ok i know all about it and have done it on my car before, what i want to know is what is the best way of removing the layers of polish and wax before i start claying, im claying my car next week. I remember seeing somewhere that fairy liquid will strip the wax and polish but im reluctant to use it.
    Any other suggestions?

The clay should remove the wax but it doesn't always but there is no need to remove the wax before claying you could use washing up liquid in a foam gun or APC (all purpose cleaner) again in a foam gun or spray the whole car with a trigger spray then rinse it off.

Megs APC applied with a foam trigger gun, then wiped down with a MF cloth should remove the old wax.

or good ol fairy liquid will do as said before!..
but just a prep wash first will be sufficient..it depends if you want to start on a blank canvas and use some new products etc...

Yea basically want to start fresh. Want to strip off all the product on the car, clay it, then apply new product. I want the clay to be as effective as possible and dont want to waste it taking wax off lol

Use lots of car shampoo when you wash the car. This will remove most waxes.ie if you usually put one cap of shampoo in your bucket put 5 or 6 in this should remove anything even collinite.
