It will help a little. But just the Air box mod is an improvement. A K+N Filter will allow more air into the engine. As it is less restricted.

    - I did the airbox mod, and installed a K&N panel filter and found the car to be more responsive & smoother through the rev range

erm basically brought it drove it around for a week...(got it cheap so even tho i spent 2 grand on it it still cheap)...but yeh...started it up one morning massive amounts of blue smoke was coming out and engine was loud..rattling...shaking....when i would stop at the lights the whole car would shake as if it was trying to stallll, but wouldnt stall...even in neutral...but yeh took it in...they said it could be anytthing and wnt knw until theyve opend the engine...sooo yeh from there...headgasket, piston rings, sum gasket?, cambelt, catalytic convertors. and everything else is being cleaned...So far hes stripped the engine, and waiting for parts..will continue work on monday/tuesday once all parts are recieved.

it depends on what sort of power you want, a bit more or lots more? if the latter, whilst the engine is out and stripped there are endless things you can do (increase bore size, change comp ratio, lighten and balance crank, cams and headwork etc) but this depends on your budget.. If you just want to improve on what you have, air filter, performance exhaust, decat and remap is the way to go
