Boot won't open....

My boot has just decided not to open at all....to say i'm frustrated is an understatement as i've arranged to pick up my mates to go to golf tomorrow after i've bigged up my new car this is'nt going to look to good if i turn up with the wifes car

Any ideas or is it a trip to the garage next week ?

there's just a button to open it, no where to put a key in

hey mate do you hear any sound when you press the button?
my lock died too, i heard it spinning but nothing happened..
i had to change it , sry for bad news..

but, u can try to open it from the inside to see if it has maybe jammed?
it has a security lock for such cases inside the boot..

Nah no noises at all....how do you open it from the inside ??
Also i know this sounds thick but where are the fuses....i don't have a handbook yet to check

well, if it is a hatchback then inside on the boot door trim you have a little circle shaped part of plastic, just remove it and you will see a square lock inside.
just stick sth in it (screwdriver) and turn it, it should release the trunk..
btw, it'll require some gymnastics when entering the boot from rear seats..

Nah its a vec '05' cdti, i know its not going to look to good in the car park is it....lol

Have you tried the boot monkey .... handy to have incase boots dont open
