    Default ebay/paypal Qn

Hi, just sold an item on ebay, on live for a few mins & it was sold with buy it now. ebay says it was paid via paypal. went into my paypal account & the status is "pending - post now" I did not know you could do this- the buyer could retract ?, so I have emailed the buyer to "release" funds before I post...buyer does have 100% feedback but sounds dodgy to me..

It's not quite that, just the way his funds are being paid into 'paypal' takes a couple of days sometimes so do not send until paid, just in case. As if you would. ..

    reply from buyer..

    hi
    what do you mean pending?
the new policy from paypal is when the buyer will get the item money will be released Money went from my account and hold by peypal
all this should be described in their letter to you
So you dont need to wait now
    Please see my feedbacks

    from paypal..

Please post the item right away. We'll release the funds when one of the following occurs:
    • you receive positive feedback from the buyer
    • it's been 21 days since the payment date and you haven't received a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction being held
Learn more about the PayPal Policy for payment holds for eBay items.

cklicking on the link I appear to have a low DSR rating...

I had a simliar message when I nearly got scammed, seemed that they had created a Paypal/Ebay website themsleves. When I went to the website (Which I thought was Paypal) it said I had the funds, but for it to be released I had to provide a genuine tracking number for the item, now bearing in mind it was a laptop worth over £600 at the time, I never bothered sending it and reported it to Ebay. They came back to me very quickly and said it was not real and that I was being scammed and not to send it. If any negative feedback was left they would remove it.

It may be genuine but I'd never trust a system that asked me that!

I had this happen to me But the message was sent to me via email and not direct to my ebay account,If in doubt send the message or email to spoof@ebay.co.uk they soon tell you if its real.
