Shell have v-power and BP have their own performance diesel, does anyone else do 'better than normal' diesel.
I am curious to try it out and see if it genuinely makes a difference.

I gave it a full tank of it at the weekend.... cant say as ive seen any difference! What i have noticed is, it seems to drink it more! Either that, or its just the higher price meaning i get lest fuel for my £50??
Mike
don't think you woud notice a difference on just the one tank you would need to fill it a few times but i don't think there is much if any improvement on bhp or fuel econemy
Total have EXCELIUM
i just use sainsburys lol
You will not notice any difference on just one tank, it takes about 3-4 tanks of constant use to notice any difference.
Performance diesel is not like performance petrol, with petrol the octane is higher and therefore can run more advanced.
On diesel, the cetane rating is higher, but the main benefit is the cleaning agents with the performance fuel, these break down the build up and when this is cleaned up, the engine will benefit from the higher cetane rating.
I have pretty much used V-Power diesel all the time and the car is a little better on fuel, not loads, but enough to cover the extra cost but the engine is quieter and runs alot smoother than before, mid range pick up is also better.
I'd save ya money matey!! Yeah there r some (tiny) gains and its suppose to clean ya engine etc, but for the extra cost i wouldn't bother. Just my opinion tho, but i do squeak when i walk!!!! LOL
V Power diesel + V power Diesel Clubcard Money off Fuel Better than Bp Ultimate
i used bp ultimate, did not notice any difference,i filled up with standard esso fuel, and still no difference apart from the price,i got it for 96.9p a litre
