    Default CD70 - screen cleaning

Just bought a 57 model Elite with the CD70 head unit with colour screen. The screen has quite a few marks on it though. Before I bought the car I thought they would clean off easily enough but I've tried using some gel spray type cleaner designed for TFT/plasma screens and it's made no difference.

I'm now worried the screen has actually been damaged by someone using the wrong type of cleaner on it in the past. The marks look like something has been sprayed on the screen and then allowed to dry - dozens of 2-5mm circular splashes. They are only really visible when the light hits the screen in the right direction. I want rid of them, but I don't want to risk damaging the screen further by really pressing on in an effort to remove them.

    Any ideas?

    Darren.

I use the same velvet type cloths I use on my LCD.... basically camera lense cleaning stuff.

Spray wise I use diffrent stuff but I have used the Autoglym glass cleaner before now.

I don't think it is the cleaner I am using that is causing the problem, but nor is it man enough to get rid of the marks. Now it maybe that the marks are actually in the plastic surface of the screen, in which case they will never come off. I'm just wondering if they aren't, how much welly I can give the screen with the cleaner to try and get them off before I actually damage the screen further.

Got this sorted now - went out yesterday and gave it a really good go with the cleaner and cloth. Took a couple of minutes of scrubbing but eventually it came up clean without damaging the screen. Looks like they can take a fair bit of punishment.
