have a look at my facelift vectra on this site, ive got privacy glass in the rear. and you can see out of them fine
tints look good but it makes reverse etc etc a right nightmare (depending on tint quality)
i would go light smoke if you really want tints as any darker then its a pain in the bum
not only that you cant see the police if there behind you
I've got 5% transmission tint on my tailgate and it's obviously darker but I can see out fine at night - never been an issue. OK, the parking sensors help lol but that aside I can still see outside the car at night through the back. My rear sides are 20% transmission film.
Just depends on what effect you want and what you want the tints for - i.e. looks only or to cut sunlight out etc. That'll help you decide which way to go.
Regarding tints,To night I saw an essex traffic car making a Tinted car owner remove the tint film there & then,he must have had very dark windows the driver was wearing a baseball cap and he to had "tinted "skin
Most police forces will allow tint on the front drivers and passengers window as long as it lets 70% light transmission.
standard vx glass is tinted to the maximum on the fronts (70%) it tells you the transparency on the bottom corner what level tint they are.
back to the rear window, mines tinted limo black and i can see fine when reversing. some people are shocked when they see my tints from the inside view as you can see fine through them.
yeah, that's what I'd like, it to look black from the outside but to have reasonable view from the inside. My astra was tinted 30% I think.
I won't be tinting the fronts, would rather not take the chance.
Well I love the look of tints especially on a black car. I do find it handy for cutting down sun and also glare from headlights plus I want to hide my ugly passengers lol jk Sadly I don't have the luxury of reverse parking sensors (well not until I fit a towball lol)Just depends on what effect you want and what you want the tints for - i.e. looks only or to cut sunlight out etc.
Is there a limit on how much you can tint the rear windows?
I went for medium smoked i think he said its the same as the bmw x5 windows that are factory tinted, didnt like limo black look and the lightest one was too light so i'm a middle of the tint man
