Default Catalytic convertor VECTRA 3.2 GSI. ARE THEY ALL THE SAME

Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong topic but seemed as close as i could get..
    Basically i have a 06 plate vectra 3.2 v6 gsi

Mechanic says I "might" need a catalytic converter..So what i wanted to know was is there a specific one for a 3.2 or are they all the same
    My car has twin exhausts..
Hope this makes any sense. Thanks

You can De Cat a GSi as it has 3 cats. Two pre cats, one from each manifold and one main cat after the collector. You can remove the main cat and still pass the MOT emissions mate, A cat is not Mot requirement only the emissions.

Have a flick through THIS thread.
