    confused VDA Connector Confirmation

    Hi Folks,
Can someone please confirm is this a VDA Plug (in red circle). This is not exactly my connector but mine looks the same.
I have preinstalled microphone and just got a new Opel UHP module so I want to connect the UHP to the VDA. I have CD70 with a color display. Is there a universal cable between the UHP and the VDA (online magazine or part number)?

no no, the VDA-plug looks like this:

you can find it -if you are lucky- behind the handglove compartiment, on the left, taped to the side

what you can see in your picture is the location of the aerial if it was not where you expected it to find (together with the VDA): see the yellow arrow, it is one of the black coax-cables in the string

You need the UHP-plug-repair-set ("UHP-Stecker-Reparatur-Satz"); as far as I know, it does not have a part number - but andy.l can correct me - price around 50 euro

You mean Opel produce this “UHP-plug-repair-set” so I can check with some local dealers?

Hum I just realize this connection will not going to happen. The problem is that the VDA plug do not have CAN bus signals, so you cannot control the “Delphi-Grundig” UHP. That’s why for example Parrot BT devices have external button for control. So I must go to retrofit.
Just for the record here's the pin out on the VDA plugs:

    EARTH - PIN 1
    PERMANENT 12v - PIN 11
    IGNITION 12v - PIN 10
    RADIO MUTE - PIN 4
    AUDIO IN +ve - PIN 16
AUDIO IN -ve - PIN 7
    MIC +ve - PIN 18
    MIC -ve - PIN 9
