    Default Rotary Polishing (1st attempt)

Had my first go with an Orange Silverline the other day, a mate of mine has bought a non-runner from ebay, he is doing the engine and I'm in charge of the detailing.
Was my first go and took a while as the paint is quite badly oxidised, just got the rest of it to do now.

    All comments welcome.
For info I used a Menzerna sample pack and Cool Foam pads from Elite Car Care.

Well it looks great. I bet the pads were a nice shade if red after tackling that.

Looks good. Red is a diffucult colour to look after. It needs a lot of TLC. Looks like you rubbed too hard on the indicator light.

    That looks good

I'm toying with getting a machine polisher. Thinking about getting a Kestrel DA as I've been put off by some stories about rotary.

My mate has just bought an MX-5 to use on track, so I've got the perfect practice car. He gets a (hopefully) shiny track car and I get some panels that no ones really cares about to practice on.

The Rotary is a bit of a beast mate, I'm gonna have big arms when its finished.
It helps that its not my car as well, my mate said just give it a shot whats the worst that could happen.
As long as you think about what your doing, do a bit of research on DW and take it slow you should be alright.

Very Red mate, took alot of Fairy liquid to clean them out afterwards.

The car is quite badly oxidised Ed, so it is gonna take quite a bit of TLC to sort, hope he's not in too much of a hurry for it.

Practice panels are a great idea mate, I'm also thinking of picking up a Kestrel DA mainly for use on mine particularly the bumpers as you have to be more careful with heat build up on plastic.
