    Default Signum woes

Ok A mate has a problem with his Signum 55plate 19cdti 150bhp Its been to a main dealer who have diagnosed a blocked DPF (particle filter/cat) Has any one else had this same fault or have any of you removed this cat without any bad side effects to performance and ecu troubles (warning lights etc) Thanks in advance guys.

Get him to check with the dealer if he has the updated software for the regeneration of the DPF. "shorter times between regeneration's"
I don't think you can just remove the DPF. Needed for the MOT etc.

Thats a good call shan, tbh they tried to do a regeneration on it with tech 2 but it had that much back pressure in the dpf/cat it aborted the test iirc it was reading around 62kpa.

They should be able to check on tech2 when the last regen was. Maybe it was still under warranty then . It's worth getting them to check as a new DPF will not be cheap.

The best way to regen the DPF is to sit on you drive rev it to 3000 rpm and keep it here for 15 mins. Or go for a drive up the motorway and keep it above 3000prm for 15 mins. Try this it should help.
