    Default HDMI player..

    just wondering wherther to get a HDMI player for the bedroom... are they any good?.. as apposed to a DVD player? Is there any noticeable difference between DVD to HDMI

    nah...we get most of our films on DVD from love film and blockbuster..
    or can you watch normal dvd's on a blue ray player too?..
    as i say its just for the bedroom so not overly fussed at spending a fortune

    well i mean..dvd with 'upscaling' or is it not that noticeable?

    you can get a dvd player with HDMI connection

    and this would upscale your existing 'normal' dvds to a higher definition

    which is noticeable

    As long as it's on an HD tv you would notice. But prob quite slight. I'm with rich, get a ps3 and get some bluray. Awsome picture. and i think you can play dvds on it too.

    Get the right film and its much better quality, saw The Dark Knight on Bluray and its amazing quality.

    That's what we have. It was quite cheap. £50 ish I think and yes it is better than the £150 Panasonic downstairs which is connected via a very expensive component cable.

    Mush easier to bury the cable in the wall too if the TV is going on the wall.

    Not as good as the Ps3 though.
