i think vx use 58 etc names, but opel has never used those, they use complete year, like here 2007MY. my should be "manufacture year" or "year of manufacture" or something like that..

it means 'model year', so would relate to vehicles built at towards the end of 2006 in this case, for the 2007 model year. so, for example, you would see '06' moulded into some plastic bits on a car with a 56 or 07 plate.

As above = year of manufacture. You may also see the term, for example, MY2007.5 used - that means, surprisingly enough, that it was built on, or after, the half way point in the year. Used to differentiate as often things in production changed at that point.

An example would be the 2008MY cars with CD70s added Aux. imput. Those before didn't have it. The model was on sale from September 2007 and in the showroom they would be advertised as the 2008MY.

I had need to look at my Service Booklet & noticed something similar Engine Type, No Z22YG (hand written along with the other info at new) however all the references I can find relate to Z22YH in the Owners Manual? ..
