Default Birmingham and back 3 times..

Right, bearing in mind our company is based in Nottingham,iv'e been asked by the manager if i would consider doing 3 runs to Brum and back per day ,for the next 2/3 weeks,we are re locating the company in brum to nottm and the firm needs to continue to trade in Brum in the interim before moving permanantly,so the idea is to shift 10 pallettes a day in my LWB sprinter...oh and the total mileage will be 335 miles per day over an 8.25 hour day...do folks on here consider this to be reasonable or not...be interesting to know.
    All replies appreciated.

To do that you'd need to average around 40MPH for the whole day, and that does not allow for breaks, load/offload/fuel stops or whatever.

How much off motorway either end? Route looks to be M1/M42 and then depends where in Brum. Given what the M1 and M42 can be like 8.25 hours for that mileage looks very optimistic - even more so if there is much off motorway either end.

Realistically you'll only get 2 round trips a day I recon, you have to take traffic, stopping for lunch, etc in to account.

Exactly the point i made,he's not taken into account the 45 mins break i'm entitled to,and it takes 20 mins each side to load and unload.

Another factor is the traffic density which he is not allowing for,and also there are 3 sets of road works, with 50 mph limits.

Think hes gonna have to allow more than 8.15 hours to do the job in.

To average 55mph the whole trip you really do need to be moving, unless you're on motorway the whole way.

My morning commute is 4 miles stop start traffic (not sitting, just stopping at lights in the town), then 70-80 for 20 miles up the motorway, and I only average 30-32mph the whole trip.
