wtf.. 120 mph biker gets 6 months :/

"A motorcyclist caught riding at 122 miles per hour with his 14-year-old son on the back of the bike has been sentenced to six months in prison.
Robert Bennett, 47, was caught by a police camera on his 1300cc Suzuki while riding on the A361 North Devon link road".

Ridiculous sentence. Last week we have a fat minister getting just days for killing someone on the roads, then this guy gets sent down for 6 months for going too fast? Ludicrous.

Maybe 30 days in prison + a ban for what he did, but 6 months inside is stupidly excessive for the offence.

Speeders = easy target.

Read this earlier. Don't think he was that bad until you find out his 14 year old son was on the back with no gloves or proper trousers on. Idiot doesn't even start to describe him. Bit harsh giving him 6 months. Agree with you about the other guy getting a lessor sentence.

I agree with both of you. There is still far toooooooooo much inambiguaty with sentences handed out to joe public and high profile people.

The law is still a raffle.

I can't condone either of them and they deserve punishment, but some transparancy in the law would give 'us' public some faith in it.

the laws an ass. you could get 10 people all done for the same thing, and 10 different out comes.
but he`s the biggest ass for doing that speed with his lad on the back.

a class road = harsh sentence especially if it was a stipendary magistrate
bet if he could he could have broken out is black cap.....

And it was wet!! Think of the consequences!! Would you put someone you love or are responsible for in that position????? I think not! If you want to ride like that do it by yourself.

personally I think driving related sentences are far too lenient full stop. Personally if someone gets caught doing a ridiculous speed on two or four wheels then a ban should be indefinite. why if someone is stupid enough to do something like that then they will do it again, ban them for life and then jail if they get caught again!
