    Default My tail came off!!!!

Was travelling this morning to work... and all of a sudden I could hear a knocking/scrapping noise from the rear thought it must be someone working close by then after a minute turned the radio down and it just stopped!!!!! Though flip thats a bit strange the car did'nt sound any different noticed she was a little more responsive (maybe not!!) parked up looked underneath and guess what... my back box has no tail!!!!!

Thinking of going to kwickfit to get one done....

Probably replace the whole back box... it looks like its on its way out.....

Car is a LS 1.8........ hope it will be around the £100 mark....

Cant you buy one from ebay and fit it yourself, backbox isnt hard to do, there is a seller called backboxes on ebay and he is very helpfull, yours should cost about £60 delivered

Yeah was thinking of flee-bay... but I'd prefer the 3 year guarantee you get. I don't think kwick-fit charge for fitting either (might be totally wrong on this one)......

kwick fit - charge is "built into" the price of the exhaust ....no one works for free

Kwik-Fit "mechanics" (heh, heh!) are likely to give your exhaust system such a hammering that the catalyst fails soon afterwards though. (Happened to me - never been back).
