    Default twin exhausts 1.9cdti

    looking around for another box so i can fit my vxr insert was wondering if a gsi rear box would fit as there seems to be more of them breaking than 2.2 sri's anyone have any ideas ????

    think the pipes might be a bigger bore on them ...not 100% tho,i,m sure when i was selling my 2.0T i was told that ,but as you have to get the Y piece might get a bit complicated reducing pipes etc etc ...if you can afford it get an after market one ,

    You are right Soulman. The bore size on the 2.0 T is different but only the nearside silencer is (smaller than 1.9 CDTI). However, the offiside silencer is the same bore size as the 2.2 and will fit the Irmy Y piece.

    he was asking about the 3.2 exhaust ,are they not bigger ??

    Don't know mate I can only guess that the offside boxes are the same sort of sizes

    I have bought a 3.2 exhaust and the backboxes are smaller than the standard size. The pipe from the middle box looks the same size right upto the Y peice and the pipes split into 2 and get alot smaller but the boxes look the same size. I have spoke to Ian at MPG today and he has said that my car will need the pipe cutting after the DPF / Middlebox and then the 3.2 system cutting down and joining on and then the rest is easy.
    I do think that the system will just fit on a 1.9 with no DPF with out any cutting at all.

    The R/H box is smaller in quite abit smaller in size compared with the L/H side
