for a start, do you have spring clamps ? have you done this before? its actually quite a dangerous thing to try for the first time without guidance

It's relatively easy to do if you have the right tools to hand.

    You'll need:

    E12 socket
    18mm deep socket
    18mm spanner
    22mm socket
    Long T50 torx bit
Air gun if available (makes life a lot easier.)
    Torque wrench (again, if available)
    Pair of spring compressors
    Hammer
    Pair of mole grips
    Pair of axle stands
    WD40 (plenty of)
Plasters and bandages (almost always required)

Don't think i've missed anything off there.

Yes I have a access to a Spring Clamp, I've never done this before... I have a haynes manual if that's "guidance" LOL

The rears seem easy enough, I need to do the control arms too and ARB bushes. I'm fitting lowering springs, so shouldnt need a spring compressor thou right?

Take wheel off. take the two bolt bolts off that connect shock absorber to hub. Remove anti roll bar link and three bolts at the top strut mount (under bonnet)and that's the suspension strut ready to remove. You then have to compress the spring to take the tension off of the top mount then remove the nut that holds the top strut mount to the shock absorber and remove the spring. Simple! Reverse procedure to refit.

Seriously you will need a set of spring compressors and the rest is just spanners and sockets.

I would be very carefull doing it yourself because if you have the spring compressed and the compressors slip then you might take you head off (worst case scenario).
