Default Corsa C External temperature sensor

Hi All, The wife's car has developed a fault and will not show the external air temp (or if it does it is very high - i.e. 60+ degrees).

Does anyone know where is the sensor is located - I'm guessing its in the front grill/bumper area somewhere - so i can have a look. And any idea how much these are at the stealers?

and, by chance, does anyone know a part number

    TIA

actually that would make more sense... having checked the VOSA site http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp there are no such recalls listed anyway

The Vosa recall site is generally for safety related recalls. Although the outside temp sensor is handy to notify of icy weather conditions, it's not what you would class as a safety related fault.

You're not thinking of the recall relating to the wiring loom that could touch/chafe on the bonnet hinge, causing the wires to be exposed and short and cause a fire? Happened to my SIL's car when she was driving along and it went up rather damn quickly!!
