Absolutely Pathetic!
It seems being a big pal of the Justice Minister has its benefits.

very wrong.....i hope he see`s the fatality every time he closes his eyes
his solicitor Steve Smith said:
‘Lord Ahmed is clearly no danger to the public'
If he wasnt then he wouldnt of killed Martyn Gombar on christmas day!
'The prosecution did not link the texting to the crash.'
bet they would of if it was you or I!
i wish i never looked at this as its made me feel like hitting the roof
Unbelievable.
Even adding on the bit the Mail on Sunday decided it's readers did not need to know 12 weeks is a joke. 18 days is beyond a joke.
Even if he wasn't texting at the exact moment he hit the stricken car in the outside lane (which had hit the central reservation earlier) what does that say about his attention to the road?
How can his solicitor then say:
‘His life and career have been wrecked for the sake of 18 days in prison. It is pathetic.’

Did he get 3 points on his licence and a £60 fine too. 18 days for killing someone that is just totaly wrong and out of order. Friends in the know "eh".
i dont know why i have just looked at this thread again
this really has ****ed me off!!!
Well, when I first read this, I couldn't really believe what I was reading, its absolutely disgusting.
In my life time I have seen this once great and principled country sink into a total bankrupt sh*tpool of anarchy and corruption, where the meaning of integrity and decency have been totally binned into the abyss.
I cannot but wonder what our ancesters, and those who bravelly gave their lives, (and still are) would be thinking, so that this country can end up like it is today.
Another story the other day in the Times alarmed me too, where the army reckons there could be as many as 4000 brummies fighting our guys in Afganistan. (story here too)

I personally am possibly nearing the final years of my life, I do however have major concerns for my grandchildren and other decent young people who will have to cope and adapt to the volatile world they are destined to live in.
