Spooky stereo!
hi all just wondered if anyone else has experienced the problem im having, about 3-4 times now ive switched off the car got out llocked it up and thought nothing else about it. Then discoving on going back to the car a few hours later that my radio is on! each time i`ve made sure its turned off as i`ve got out! as i say it doesnt happen all the time about 4 times so far! any ideas???
Happens to my wifes Fiat Punto quite a lot. It has a Blaupunkt Stereo, Don't know if that helps.
Otherwise go to the dealer and don't leave until they agree to fix it!
In the CD30 Radio options theres something called smart ignition to do with the radio staying on when the key is removed requested. Can't remember the exact details. Could be connected.
When I was having reception issues with my CD30 I had it down at the dealers. The guy told me he had never experienced reception issues before. He did say though that there are a batch of CD30's out there that switch themselves on for no apparent reason when the car is off and locked up.
He said he had changed a few HU's under warranty because of this

It has happend on my wife vectra b, came out to go to work and the radio was on, but it normally goes off with the ingnition, still don,t know what happened though.
cheers damian and everyone else, i just rang up my dealer and said my stereo keeps switching itself on and she replied its not a cd30 by any chance is it! so obviously its a common thing, and its all booked in for monday!
