    Default knocking heater dial???????

evening guys and gals, noticed this evening that when i turn my heater dial (the one to choose hot or cold) to the coldest point it seems like something is turning and reaches its furthest point and can't go no more so as it trys to continue turning it makes a knocking noise for a second or two. i think it may be that when i changed the led's in that unit i may have oved the knob position so will try moving it back tomorro just wandering if there could be something else.

    A bump in 19 mins?

Surely you have put the knob back wrong when changing to LED'S.

doesn't seem to be a prob with the control unit and the sound is coming from behind the stereo console where i'm assuming the heater matrix is or what ever it is.i can hear this part moving as i change the heater's position from hot to warm to cold, then at the dials coldest point is still when i hear this knocking sound( like a mechanical part moving but something is stopping it moving any further so sounds like a cog is slipping).this is the same in all fan positions with or without aircon also with or without air re-circulation,i am still getting very nice hot air and also very cold air still.if i leave the dial in its coldest point after i hear the sound then turn the ignition off i don't get the sound again, but when i turn the ignition back on the noise comes back again for the same length of time about four quick knocks.

Did this happen as soon as you changed to LED's?

As you change the temp dial it adjusts the mixed air valve servo. Might be worth checking the servo lever.
