    Default powerfold mirror

evening all, quick one, i have a signum(03 plate) i know when you lock the car and hold the fob the mirrors fold but is there a function on the unlock where they fold back out again?if you hold the unlock button in ,the windows open, just seeing if it can be done really! also i have been told you can put a function in to automatically lock the doors after 20mph is this right?if so how do i do it.cheers

look at the how 2 section, theres a how 2 on locking the doors.sure you hold the lock button on the fob at the same time as the lock or open button on the driver door.the how 2 will tell it better

If you have the folding mirrors as standard i.e. factory option then as you say they fold when you hold the fob lock button. When you then unlock from the fob they then should simply fold out again.

Have you retro-fitted them? If so, then that problem is a sign of incorrect programming or not the right door modules.

In that case there's a problem. Do they fold/unfold from the rocker switch on the driver's door switch? (make sure neither mirror button is depressed.

Definitely a problem then - maybe the key needs reprogrammed or something in the door module needs reprogrammed? Certainly a problem there and probably a dealer job only. Given your location you're welcome to pop over this way (Eastbourne) if you want to see if anything on my Vaux-COM can help. They've recently said that the next version of the software will be able to program door modules so I can get a Beta version of it and have a looksey. I'd also be able to see if reprogramming the key would help at all - unlikely though as that's all related to the immobiliser/CIM etc, not the mirrors.

would I be right in saying all cars with electric mirrors would have the folding mechanism in place already?
