Default A tyre and wheel question.

Ok so ive been offered a set of VERY nice wheels for £500 with tyres on all new.

Im still waiting on him to get back to me as to what exactly the tyre is but he gave me the tyre size of
    225 40 18

I believe the stud pattern is 5 X 112 and i will need wobble bolts.

So can anyone let me know if that size tyre mentioned above is ok for a standard Vec C Pre Facelift?

    cheers oh knowledgeable ones!

225 45 18" tyres are the correct size, however, in Europe 225 45 17" tyres are offered and these have the same rolling radius as 225 40 18". So you will be fine.

The 225 40 18" tyre does look a little out of place with Vectra C on normal suspension, but SRi models etc with the factory lowered sports suspension, they don't look out of place.

Those tyres are ok, some people do suggest having the 45's though ive had 40's and they were ok, 45's give a bit more sidewall and a softer ride probably.
You will need wobble bolts but also ensure the centre bore is at least 65.1 or you wont get them on the car
