    Default Calling CDTi 150 owners

I have recently changed jobs and i'm now working about 35 miles from my house, about 30 of this is motorway driving. Now my problem is no matter how i drive i seem to be getting the same average mpg!

I try driving at 55mph with the lightest foot in the world, 60mph and tonight at 70mph with a fairly heavy foot and i seem to get aproximately the same mpg (even tried A/C on and off)! Been trying for weeks now!

My question is to all you CDTi 150 owners is at what speed do you find it to be most economical!

Most of my driving is town and a-roads and I also find I get very little difference in the mpg weather I drive like miss daisy or boot it everywhere. (3-4mpg tops)

I got 60mpg at a constant 70mph on a 250 mile trip but like you say, I don't think there will be a big difference at motorway speeds.

I get the best mpg on the motorway when the cruise is set at an indicated 67mph, but my mpg is usually always the same, give or take 3-4 mpg.

65-70mph, but with the (perhaps obvious) caveat that steady throttle is required too. It seems noticeable to me that the Range function shows drastic improvement when there's no traffic about and I can sit at a constant speed for mile after mile, rather than when slowing and accelerating between 60-70mph with traffic.

    Default

Tickle it = get there slower

Boot it = Get there faster

Only thing that really changes is the journey time.

You should be showing about 45mpg on the use you posted btw.
