Hi, thanks for viewing this new thread.

I have a Vauxhall vectra 2L Turbo SRI. Its a 2004 (04) model 4 door saloon, manual.

The problem i have is this....

I bought the car from an auction centre (BCA) and when i was driving home, i noticed the turbo wasn't kicking it at all.

I took the car to my local garage who plugged in a snap on solus tool. The fault shown saying the 'waste gate sensor' needing replacing. We ordered a brand new part from Vauxhall and fitted it. We then cleared the error code and the car was running perfect!!! The turbo was kicking in fine and it drove perfect!

About 30 mins after this, the little car with the spanner showed up on the screen and the turbo was not kicking in anymore!

I took it back to the garage and plugged it in again. This time it came up with something about the ecu???

I don't think he knew what he was talking about as he didn't give me a solution.

I know the turbo works fine as it did previously but can anyone give me some guidance?

I haven't taken the car to a main dealer yet, this will be my last resort as they charge sooo much!!!

Please help me!!!

You might end up having to take it to a dealer. Who can read the codes, and should be able to understand them.

Thanks guys, i'm going to take it to the garage one last time to see if they can give me some more advise. If this fails, looks like my local main stealer! Lol.

It may be worthwhile trying to reset the ECU you need to disconnect the car battery for about 15 mins then his will relearn itself and hopefully solve the problem. I had a problem similar where power was lost and the light came on on my turbo.

What he said. Check the pipes and air intake, I had a problem similar, VX kept plugging in the Tech machine couldnt find anything wrong. Turned out that the main intake had come away as the airbox was moving to much.

tbh mate i think your flogging a dead horse i would take it to your local stealers and let them have a look they should be able to tell you straight away the fault codes then its up to you wether you let them fix it or buy the part you need and do it yourself
