Default Plasma falls over at hurdle one

Would you believe it, i get home early full of beans and energy and go to remove the black grille off the bottom of me SRi bumper. I figure out u poke up the pins and catch them. Did this and then thought oh, its ready to come off. Not..... Then i saw the tabs on the top lot but do you think i could get any of them to budge.. No...... I went indoors with the ump and came back out an hour later to try again... Still couldnt get over the hurdle.. Anyone seperated these two themselves????

It's definitely much easier to get the lower grille off if you take the bumper off. You could lie underneath and fiddle around, but I'd say the extra little hassle of taking the bumper off is worth it - well it was when I swapped my Signum lower grille for an SRi one, but mine is lowered 30mm so bu**er all chance of getting under the car! lol

What you taking the grille off for BTW?

Hang on, when you said black grille earlier on you were meaning the black plastic cutout for the exhausts on the rear bumper?

I thought you were meaning the lower black grille on the front bumper!

got my rear bumper insert off in 5 mins with the aid of a wide flat head screw driver. Couldn't believe how easy it was
and that was done with me lying under the rear of the car

I just undid the plastic screws then just pulled from the rear of the car and it came off

So you popped the studs from the left, then the right. Then unclipped the 2 hanger thingys that brace it then just pulled for your life? Or did u use the flat blade to unclip the clips on the top edge?

used the flat blade to pop the screws at the back of the insert, then just pulled it out.
