Default Sump plug location? 3.0 CDTi

Call me lazy for not crawling around on the stones in the drive but any ideas on where the sump plug is located?....sounds like a silly question I know but on the Laguna a huge protector plate had to be removed before access could be gained to the plug and two of the fixing bolts were sheared....that's Renault engineers for you,(overtighening), talk about a long job to change the oil...then replace said bolts, my bro' in law was not a happy badger. He's offered to do the change the weekend and it would be nice to warn in advance if it's likely to be problematic or straightforward.

If it is like my 3.2 V6 then it should not be a problem the sump plug is at the back of the sump, you can see it if you get down low enough, you might not need to jack the car up either, looks a simple job to do. I shal be doing mine when the warenty runs out.

Thanks for that, hope mine's the same, like I said the Renault was 'orrible to get to. Mine is still in warranty too but i've mixed oils when topping up and just to be on the safe side i'd prefer to get it out and put fresh in of all one viscosity/make...a little paranoid I suppose but i'll feel happier!

    Regards...........
