    Default Dead locking

    Just been to my car, went to lock it thern dead lock it, but the dead lock function has stopped working

    unlocks ok
    locks ok

    but refuses to deadlock

    any ideas??

    not been to vx for any work recently ???

    someone else last week went and had a download ...by the time they left dead locking was not working and the garage had the audacity to say the car was never fitted with it!

    Open and close all the doors and boot. my vec b used 2 do that.

    Just noticed his thread

    strange thing is though, I tried the exact same thing, auto door locking (which doesnt work on my car) and now the dead locking works fine

    very weird

    you have to make sure you open and shut the drivers door before you lock and dead lock??

    Do you??

    what happens if you just want something off the passenger seat?

    I thought it worked no matter what

    maybe thats what did cause it then, as I opened the passenger side to get some paperwork

    if i remember right you cant dead lock the car whilst sitting in it only when the drivers door has been opened and closed

    the drivers door must have been opened and closed only if the engine has just been shut of

    100% definate I did lock and deadlock while sat in the drivers seat earlier
