    Vehicle : Saab

    Trim : 9-3 Vert

    Engine : 2.0

    Year : 2000

    Default v6 CDTI and coilovers

Has anyone got Coilovers on their V6 CDTI? If so what?

    These seem a good price...
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SPAX-RSX-COILO...1%7C240%3A1318

But is there a difference between whats needed on a saloon and hatch? ( I have a hatch).

Also would the V6 not need a different setup to others due to the front end weight? These say they are ok for all engines?

The main reason for going for coil overs is the ability to alter the ride height depending on what im using the car for. Does anyone know how easy they are to set up?

Thank you in advance for all your help and all comments welcome.

i believe "big phil" has these coilovers on his V6.

they are easy to fit and change the ride height, but each time u change the height you really need to re do the tracking etc.

    Fair enough.

Anyone any suggestions for a set with easy height adjusting?

I know it sounds like an odd request, but most of the time i would want it as low as possible, but a few times a year i carry a large load, so would need to be able to lift it for that.

    Thank you

    Stephen

you could raise the rear easy enough without havin to have the tracking done, i believe.

Any idea what effect this would have on the handling?

Presumably if i did it once loaded so it matched the front height wise it would be ok?

    Thank you

handling shouldnt be affected really that much, cus u wont need to change the height that much as the springs are quite stiff on the coilovers.
also adjustin the height takes a few minutes each side. The wheels dont have to come off to adjust.
